talking and sliding

So cute -- tonight when we were putting Wren to bed we were looking at a board book with babies doing sign language and he was not only doing some signs, but saying the words when I asked him "what is that?" He can say "ball" and "hat" (sounds like AHt) and "baby". At the end of the book all the different pictures are on the same page and he pointed to the doll and said "that's a baby"!! So that was cool! And he loves the hair dryer and calls it the "ah wawa" or just "wawa". Very silly boy. And he just rediscovered the phone charger for the car and says "hello" over and over when he wants it, and uses it to pretend he's on the phone.

Today we went with our friends Joy and Keira and Eamon to Spring Creek Park and Keira and Wren had a lot of fun walking around on the bit of snow that was left and sliding around on the wet ice around the park. Wren watches Keira and likes to do what she's doing. He thought slipping on the ice was fun! But then he got all wet and cold and he didn't like that part as much. He cried some at the end, but more because we were leaving rather than because he was cold -- I think he wanted to slide around on the ice more. Keira had fun splashing around in the puddles, too. We have fun hanging out with them!
