new semester and new toddler

In the past few days, Wren has been teething with his first molars. He also has a cold (which I have now, too). He is also a toddler (??)! How did this happen? Anyway, he has bursts (or long, extended periods) of crankiness and he careens around the house doing things he shouldn't be doing, like standing on chairs or throwing things over the railing or starting the washer or whatever while shaking his head "no" and being generally disagreeable. So that's not very fun! I hope his molars come in soon because his swollen gums look painful.

We're all getting used to the routine of the new school year and continuing to chip away at little projects around the house and getting things set up. I've been enjoying drinking coffee, reading, and playing Super Mario Galaxy when I'm not running around with Wren and doing chores. What have you been doing?

We have disagreeable phases, too, but no worries-- it'll pass. It's great that Wren is becoming so independent and grown up! It happens too fast, doesn't it?

What have we been doing? Samuel is enjoying some Daddy-time on Tues/Thurs mornings while I teach. And we've been playing in the wading pool outside when it's nice and watching Thomas or playing with toy trains when we're stuck inside!
