our new home!

We found a house! We are in the process of buying it. We had the home inspection today, and we close on February 29. We are very excited! It has four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and two bonus rooms besides. It's brand new and has an open floor plan we love. It's a sunny house with a lot of windows and nine foot ceilings on the first floor. We have some good views of Mount Nittany (the mountain nearby) and nearby ridges. There is a little park at the end of the street, which includes a big sledding hill that is apparantly a traditional place in this area to go sledding. It's on a cul de sac, so there shouldn't be much traffic. There are a few lots still to be built on, though, so there may be some construction in the near future. We originally were thinking of an older house in an older neighborhood, but we found we like the newer houses. Our house is not in a huge new neighborhood, so that is a plus to us. There are trees and more established homes nearby. We have a lot of room in our new house, so come visit us!

Wren is crawling and pulling up on things. He just got his first tooth today! His first tooth at nine months. We were beginning to wonder if they were in there! ;) Wren is starting to be interested in feeding himself -- he's eating Cheerios and I am getting ready to give him some little fruits and veggie pieces. Today he tried using a rice cake as a utensil by dipping it in his bowl of baby food!

Scott is enjoying teaching his classes so far this semester. He is teaching British Literature to about 35 undergrads and Beowulf to 5 grad students. We definitely feel like we have a lot of things going on now, but we are thankful for all of them!

Happy 9 months old to Wren!

Wow! Your new house is beautiful! Congratulations! And having it new sounds like fun, too.

Sarah also has no teeth yet. And she is not crawling yet. She rolls around and generally scoots herself places. I think she's going to skip the crawling thing and go straight for walking. She really likes to stand up with help. Guess we'll see soon enough.

Have fun moving, etc.

I love the house. That'll be wonderful to have 4 bedrooms, and the neighborhood sounds great. Congratulations!

Wren is so darling. Samuel enjoyed watching the first video where he was laughing and laughing. So fun!
