another cake

So this cake is more me practicing different decorating skills than me making a cohesive design. And practicing making RED icing. This cake was pretty technicolor. But it is a chocolate cake from scratch, PLUS chocolate ganache filling with Scharffen Berger chocolate, which was out of this world (if you like hot chocolate, and dark chocolate, you should go out right now and buy their cocoa and make a cup of hot cocoa with it. holy smokes!!! it is the BEST I'VE EVER HAD). The photo of the inside looks a little weird, but believe me, it was yummy.


I almost forgot to take a picture (notice we started cutting it already)! We were intent on eating it ...

THIS LOOKS AWESOME! I have to find this chocolate! And your recipe? And an ability to decorate. Mom and I made gingerbreadmen to decorate and had the yearly contest to see who could make the ugliest ones. She won, this year, but maybe I will get her next time!
