visits and wren

My mom visited this week and my dad visited a couple of weeks before that. We have had a good time touring around the area and playing with Wren!

Wren has been doing new things: he's been babbling "mamamama" and a little bit of "b" sounds too. Every week it seems like he can do more with his hands. He's more aware of his playing with toys and can hold on to things for longer. He's really interested in Lacey! He sees the cat walk by and he gets very excited. Lacey has come up to Wren a little more and sniffed him quite cautiously but looks pretty freaked out -- Wren can put his hand out and she runs off. Wren is eating rice cereal and bananas and seems to enjoy it; no weird faces really or anything and he swallows his food nicely. Wren is starting to be able to sit up on his own. He can do it for a few seconds without falling over. :) He loves to laugh at his daddy! He's always looking around at everything and still loves to stand when we hold him. He also loves to listen to music and watch the light show on Windows Media Player... :) It's fascinating! Also, he is continuing to grow: we just went out and got a car seat for him -- he's grown out of his infant seat already!

We wish we could see you all more often.
