wegman's

Yes, I'm still hung up on Wegman's. I thought it was the store I went to in Austin, but all the stores are just in this area of the U.S. I wonder what grocery store Austin has that I liked so much. Jon and Sarah, you'll have to find out for me. But I am deliriously happy as I wander the aisles of Wegman's. The other day I came home with salmon Florentine, spicy hummus, lemon dill hummus, chocolate peanut butter brownies extraordinaire, and some fancy cheese I don't remember the name of without looking at it. Yum!

Hi Em!

I wonder if you were at a Central Market in Austin? They are a Texas gourmet grocery chain started in Houston and there's one here in Fort Worth. It's pretty nice - lots of great prepared foods (clearly listed as to vegetarian or vegan or not) and fancy groceries. We still prefer the Whole Foods (which is in Arlington, where we work - so we keep going there every other evening or so - to eat sushi or the beautiful salad bar, and try to start stocking our pantry!). The original Whole Foods is in Austin, so perhaps you were at that store. I've not been there yet, but it's supposed to be like a wonderland! When we get a chance to take a weekend trip to Austin we'll check them out and let you know!

It sure is fun to have some neat grocery stores, isn't it? In that sense, we don't miss South Bend at all! But we do miss you and the rest of our lovely friends!!
