Hello everyone,
Today Wren is four months old! He is doing a great job with the move. Lately he's been laughing more and smiling a lot and looking all around. He is very observant! If we're in a new situation or if people are around, he keeps himself awake to check everything out. He's also started making loud noises just for fun!
Here's a video of Wren laughing:
Our move went pretty well. Wren got tired of being in the car the last couple of hours, but he did great. It took us 10 and a half hours to get here! He is a trooper. Lacey is also a trooper. She had a rough three days, staying in enclosed places and traveling and being in hotel rooms. Now she is enjoying looking out the window and exploring her new home. Here's a photo of Lacey in her bathroom hideout while the movers carted all our stuff in:
Wren also seems to be adjusting well to his new home. He is enjoying some walks around the neighborhood in his sling and stroller, and has been going on some errands with us around town.
Our (almost) empty Mar Main apartment...

State College seems awesome. We love how the town is very pedestrian-friendly -- there are bicycle/handicap accessible sidewalks everywhere (including around strip mall and store areas, like Wal-Mart and Target), when you press a walk button on the crossing signal, all lights are red so you can truly cross the street, and there is a great bike path that goes all throughout the town. Our apartment is right on the bike path, and I rode (uphill all the way, so okay, I walked the last part of the way) to campus yesterday in beautiful 70 degree sunny weather. It was wonderful! Very fun to coast back home down those hills. We will definitely be getting some exercise in this town, what with walking and biking and going up and down our stairs at home!
Ahhh... lots of stuff in the new apartment!

We met some good people at a new faculty dinner and I joined a mom's group here that meets at parks to play and for storytimes and such. Hopefully we can meet some friends there!
Scott and I are appreciating the different kinds of people here, more state-college-y types of folks doin' their thing.
Can I tell you that I went to the grocery store last night and I absolutely love it? I walked in and realized right away that it's the grocery store from Austin, Texas that I loved: Wegman's. You really have to see it to believe it: lots of organic and local produce, tons of organic and natural foods, big variety of meats and cheeses, international food section, plus all the "regular" stuff that you expect to be at the store. Plus cooking ware and fun things like cupcake-making displays! Woo. I am feeling incredibly lucky to be doing our shopping there!
So anyway, we like it here. But we miss you.

Love,
Em, Scott and Wren

Happy four months, and happy move! Can't wait to see pics of the place when y'all are settled in. Also, I'm sad to say there is no Wegman's in Tx. I had never seen anything like it until I lived in Rochester! And I LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! And I SO miss it!!! Enjoy it for me! :-)
That's what we've been waiting for...video!! Wren has grown so much since you were here. Everything looks great, even covered in boxes. I love the playmat archy thing. Keep those cards and letters comin'. Momwow
Thanks so much for the update and all the pictures and video. I'm SOOOO jealous that you have Wegmans up there. There are several things I miss about Rochester, but Wegmans is the biggest. I loved it so much. Anyone who's never been has no idea....
